Evil Otto applies multiband upward and downward compression for an intentionally assertive dynamics effect. It is useful for revealing quieter texture and creating heavily shaped electronic sounds. Strong processing can bring noise and background detail forward. Its free release is separate from paid Audio Damage processors, and platform-specific installation requirements should be checked on the official download page.

Set timing against the performance and compare at similar output level. Listen to attack, sustain and pauses, since a level-control change can alter the musical phrasing as well as peak readings.
